Early Years Practitioner x 2

Band D £26340 - £ 26472 Per Annum, Full Time Equivalent

 

Both posts full year (not term time only)

 

Temporary in the first instance until 31st August 2027, to start as soon as possible

 

To start as soon as possible

 

Post 1: 20 hours per week (5 days - 10am-2pm) 

Post 2: 37 hours per week (flexible to cover between 7.45am-5.45pm)

As part of our integrated service, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, nurturing environment for our families, where children feel safe, valued and supported to reach their full potential.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to join our team and work within our Centre.

About the role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be an integral member of our team, helping to ensure that high-quality practice and provision is maintained at all times.

You will work holistically with very young children and families, building positive relationships and supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference through meaningful interactions, engaging experiences and responsive, child-centred practice.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Preferably holds a Level 2/3 qualification/Licence to Practice in Early Years Childcare and Education, however unqualified applicants will be considered (paid at Band C)
  • Can demonstrate positive, high-quality interactions with very young children
  • Has a warm, nurturing and empathetic nature
  • Has a sound knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and how this supports children's learning and development into subsequent phases
  • Is flexible, enthusiastic and willing to contribute fully to the aims and objectives of the Centre
  • Can build and maintain positive and effective relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Has excellent communication skills and enjoys being a proactive and supportive member of a complex team

Safeguarding

The Centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and the successful candidates will have to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Check. Satisfactory references, 1 professional (from current or most recent employer) and 1 character will also be required.  Online searches will be conducted on shortlisted candidates.

Housekeeper Cook 

Band C (£26209 per annum FTE, pro rata)

Part-time, full year - NOT term time only

14 to 16 hours per week over 2 days: (Thursday and Friday)

Permanent 

Applications are invited for the above post, to take immediate effect. 

The successful candidate will be expected to work during the normal school holidays enabling the Centre to open all year round. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic part time Housekeeper Cook who will be a dedicated team member in ensuring our high quality practice and provision is maintained at all times.

Duties will include:

  • To prepare and serve healthy balanced and nutritious meals for large numbers of very young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage, including catering for special dietary requirements and allergies
  • Ensure the kitchen and food preparation areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times
  • To complete and maintain accurate records to ensure safe food management in line with current food legislation
  • To order, receive and store the deliveries of groceries and housekeeping supplies
  • To monitor stock levels, rotate stock regularly, and dispose of out-of-date products appropriately
  • To carry out laundry duties
  • A flexible and willing approach to be fully involved in all Centre aims and objectives
  • Excellent communication skills and have the desire to work as a proactive member of a complex team.
