Roche Abbey Care Home at Maltby (formerly Queens Care Centre) will be opening in January 2020.
This 67 bed care home is based on Millard Lane, Maltby S66 7LZ and has been bought by a Manchester based company called East and West Healthcare who already have 3 existing homes in the Rochdale area.
** This care home will be for both young and elderly people with health issues **
The home is currently undergoing a complete refurbishment and the company is looking for staff to fill the following vacancies:
Full Time Handyperson – URGENTLY REQUIRED to start asap!
Wage negotiable – Meets NMW
Approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday
Skilled/Semi Skilled person required to assist in a wide variety of DIY duties around the home e.g. can fix leaking toilets, provide general garden maintenance, moving furniture, take receipt of deliveries etc. The ability to use both hand and power tools is essential and a general all round knowledge is required and a willingness to assist with all duties as required. Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety Regulations is also required.
8-10 x Care Assistants
12 hour shifts – 8am-8pm/8pm-8am either permanent days or permanent nights (can possibly accommodate some part time hours)
Meets National Minimum Wage according to age.
For the general all round care of residents within the home, recording actions etc.
RGN’s (Registered General Nurse) x 4-5
Days or Nights
Wage – Negotiable with applicants
RMN (Registered Mental Nurse) x 1
To manage a brand new unit for 8-10 residents within the home

Cleaners x 2
1 x Full Time (40 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
1 x Part Time (16 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
Meets National Minimum Wage according to age.
Cooks x 2
1 x Full Time (40 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
1 x Part Time (16 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
Wage - £9 per hour
Experience of cooking on a large scale is required. Will be coordinating menus with the Manager.
Must have NVQ Level 2 in Catering, a current Food Hygiene Certificate and knowledge of COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations.
Kitchen Assistants x 2
1 x Full Time (40 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
1 x Part Time (16 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Saturday and Sunday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
Meets National Minimum Wage according to age.
Some previous experience preferred but not essential. Knowledge of Food Hygiene, COSHH and Health and Safety Regulations preferred.
Will be following the instructions of the Cook, assisting in food preparation, cleaning down all work areas etc.
Laundry Assistant x 1
1 x Full Time (40 hours a week) approximately 8am-4pm Monday to Friday (employer can be flexible on start/finish times)
Meets National Minimum Wage according to age.
Activities Coordinator – required from around February 2020
Part Time to Full Time
Meets National Minimum Wage according to age.
Time and a half is paid for Christmas and Bank Holidays
DBS
The employer will pay for the DBS check for all successful applicants.
However, if the person leaves within the first 3 months of employment (or doesn’t pass their 3 month probation period) they will be asked to pay it back.

Blue Arrow Warehouse Vacancies in Doncaster.
The site is the B&Q Distribution Centre at Redhouse, Doncaster. B&Q have made it clear that there will be drug and alcohol testing.
Overall Purpose of Job:
• Reporting to Warehouse Line Managers
• Required to undertake loading, picking and unloading duties which involves lifting of heavy stock/products
• To carry out a variety of warehouse duties to include pallet truck operation and mechanical handling equipment
• To carry out the preparation of store orders accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality level
• To be responsible for the health and safety of themselves and other operatives by adhering to safe working practices
• Shift work days and afters or permanent nights any 5 over 7 days, including weekend working will be required.
The Person:
• Must be adaptable to assist in all areas of the warehouse with a flexible team based approach
• Must be punctual, reliable and committed to achieve daily and weekly KPI's
• Will have a good eye for detail combined with basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Warehouse experience would be an advantage, but training will be provided
• Will be able to work accurately under restricted timescales.
Required Attributes:
• 6 months experience with LLOP (Low level Order Picker)
• 6 months experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience in a working environment
• Confident and adaptable
• Hard working and motivated to work
