Chinese New Year
We have really enjoyed learning about Chinese New Year this week. We have thought about what is similar, and different to our own New Year celebrations. The children have made spring rolls, cards and gift tags to give tangerines to family members. They have also enjoyed painting blossom tree paintings, taking part in dragon dancing and using ICT to gain new knowledge.
Changes to the Big Garden
We have had further changes to the big garden, and today the workmen were building a canopy over the mud kithcen. Some children enjoyed watching them, there was even a digger at one stage! Children created drawings of their observations which will be added to their individual records of achievement.
Welcome to FS1
FS1 have made a brilliant start to the new year. The children are all settling in wonderfully; we are all gaining confidence in following our routines as well as enjoying playing with friends.
Here are a few photos to show all the exciting learning that has been taking place within the FS1 Base. We have had lots of exciting learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.
Our activities have included gardening, mark making, singing number songs, climbing outdoors and dancing!
